About This Course

Human Resource professionals and leaders have a social obligation to our Veterans that goes beyond simply celebrating their service once a year during Remembrance Day. It also is more than self-assigning a “Veteran friendly” label because an effort is made to recruit and hire Veterans.

Research shows that many Veterans struggle with the transition from their life and career as a military service member to one as a civilian. In organizations, these transitional issues result in reduced engagement and costly turnover among our Veteran candidates and employees. In this course, you will learn how your Human Resource practices and strategy can proactively address Veteran transition issues in order to foster their success, as well as that of the organization.

You will learn how to identify gaps that are created as a result of cultural differences and be introduced to potential solutions that proactively support Veterans seeking employment with, as well as those hired by your organization.
