This course covers general information such as Newfoundland & Labrador legislation, prevention measures, and how to recognize & respond to violence & harassment in the workplace.

The Occupational Health & Safety Regulation sets out what Newfoundland and Labrador workplaces must do in order to provide a workplace free from violence and harassment. The Regulation also specifies ‘working alone’ requirements which provide protection from violence when a worker is working alone or in isolation. The Newfoundland Labrador Human Rights Act provides protection against harassment and discrimination in the workplace. This course deals with general information such as the law, how to recognize warning signs, and how to respond to violence and harassment in the workplace.
