The Learning Never Stops
I started out my business career in the early ’80s as one of the first Personal Computer Technologists in Canada. This involved repairing circuit boards to the component level and writing diagnostic software to aid in the process. My career quickly advanced and I ended up managing the Computer Repair depot in my early 20’s. This is where I cut my teeth on learning how to lead people. Six years later I went back to school to learn more about Computer Programming and started working as a Software Developer. I was quickly promoted to managing the Software Development team and went on to become an IT Director for a national company. On the personal side, I was able to translate my business leadership skills to building a Winning Multi-Day Adventure Racing team and an Ultra Distance Cycling team. The Leadership skills I have learned along the way has got me to the finish line in my business life.
