About This Course

In the complex landscape of the modern workplace, effective leadership needs more than charisma. It demands a robust toolkit of proven skills, behaviors, and strategies. This course takes a deep dive into the most influential theories and practical frameworks. They will help you transition from a competent manager to an extraordinary leader.

We start by exploring the fundamental evolution of leadership thinking. It breaks leadership down into the 'Big Three' approaches:
  1. Traits (who leaders are)
  2. Styles (how leaders interact)
  3. Roles (what leaders do)
You will recognise that we learn and hone critical leadership capabilities through practice. The course navigates through essential behaviors, roles, and styles, to inspire and motivate.

We move beyond static models to explore Situational Leadership and Contingency Theory. You will learn how to adapt your approach based on the context, the readiness of your team, and the nature of the task at hand.

By the end of this course, you will have developed versatile leadership skills. You'll get the following learning outcomes:
  • Understand a broad range of leadership frameworks.
  • Apply Action-Centered Leadership to balance the needs of the task, the team, and the individual.
  • Master Situational Leadership models, that flex with circumstances.
  • Distinguish between Transactional and Transformational leadership. Move from getting things done to motivating and inspiring change.
  • Utilize the Blake and Mouton Managerial Grid to optimize your concern for people alongside your concern for results.
  • Become a Servant Leadership and an Authentic Leader, to lead with trust, integrity, and psychological safety.
  • Use coaching and mentoring, to develop talent and empower those around you.
  • Navigate Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) theory to avoid bias and creating toxic 'out-groups'.
  • Benefit from the insights and expertise of key thinkers and researchers, like Bennis, Bass, Adair, Ainek, and Kouzes & Posner.

Whether you are an aspiring supervisor looking to build your foundation or an experienced executive seeking to refine your methods, this course offers the clarity and depth needed to enhance your personal impact.

Join us to master the core models and methods that will empower you to lead with confidence, purpose, and agility.
