About This Course

Presentations can be dull for audiences. People feel nervous when presenting. In this course we begin with five essential areas for powerful presentations including memorable ways to commence and how to manage anxiety, be succinct, sign-post information, maintain audience engagement, tell a story and finish with a bang.

Learn valuable strategies to improve how you present online and how to start strong, be succinct in words and visuals, build audience engagement, control the discussion and work to a timeline.

Skills in presenting can be learned and improved. A good presentation is more than just your words — your body language, your tone of voice and how you engage your audience are as important as what you actually say. Presenting should be done with energy and it must be relevant. Effective presenters engage with their audience. They observe, ask questions and build rapport. Pitch your presentations so they are interesting and relevant. Passionate people are easy to find in any workplace: they love their work, they are committed, they are engaged and engaging.

Once this course is completed you will have learned to unlock your passion and enthusiasm, and inspire others by being natural and yourself. You will have learned the importance of storytelling, research and feedback to enhance your presentations. You will be inspired to display goals, to make a difference in the world, and to have pride in your achievements. You will communicate goals and achievements and congratulate and support others in what they do for the organization.

You will also learn about an elevator pitch, why they are useful, how you can research and know your audience and find the human story behind what you do, so you grab interest and attention. You will learn practical tips to impress with your elevator pitch while simultaneously engaging in genuine conversation.
