About This Course

Communication skills are the most important personal skills you can ever develop for your success in life. Life is a series of communications. Those who develop strong communication skills do well in school, secure jobs and promotions, and often ascend to the highest levels of leadership in corporations, governments, and civic life. People who fail to develop communication skills often have their careers stagnate or plateau in the mid-range. Sadly, presentation skills are either not taught in primary or secondary education or are taught poorly.

This course is designed to be a one-stop shop for all your communication skills training needs. It covers a vast array of communication needs and scenarios, from how to communicate during a job interview, pitching to investors, asking for a raise, speaking one-on-one or to large groups. It also includes how to speak to big corporations when you have a problem with service, public speaking for kids, delivering a wedding speech, and even a eulogy. You will also become a master of persuasion, assertiveness, and all aspects of business communication. Your leadership abilities will expand dramatically as your social skills grow, allowing you to communicate effectively in every situation.

BASIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN

The course begins with simple written communication skills like grammar and writing correct and effective sentences that communicate ideas. We'll also focus on effective word choices and common writing pitfalls to help you immediately avoid many common writing errors you could be making without realizing.

Once you gain confidence in your grammar and basic writing skills, we'll begin applying that in everyday written professional communication mediums such as email communication and instant messenger communication. After that, we'll begin writing business documents such as business reports, business proposals, and cover letters.

Towards the end of the course, we'll expand your communication skills into situations like making meetings more productive and handling yourself in a more assertive yet still professional manner.

INTERMEDIATE COMMUNICATION SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN

Once you gain solid grammar skills, the course will teach you slightly more advanced communication skills like writing emails, instant messages, and day-to-day communication within your team.

ADVANCED COMMUNICATION SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN

After the course covers the intermediate communication skills, you will learn advanced communication skills like writing reports and business proposals. You will also learn how to pitch your business, create presentations with great storytelling, and much more.
