About This Course

Given minimal changes in the accounting standards this year, we have combined the annual accounting update to included APSE and ASNPO.  We will reiterate the effective date for previously issued standards and review guidance provided in new exposure drafts.  For the remainder of the session, we will wrap up with highlights of the common deficiencies noted by practice review during the 2023/2024 inspection cycle, accompanied by practical guidance for application.In this session we will cover considerations related to:

  • Reminders related to the effective dates of newly issued standards
  • Update on the status of projects including Contributions
  • Brief review of newly issued exposure drafts and projects including the subsequent measurement of goodwill
  • Summary of key practice review deficiencies noted during the current inspection cycle
  • Insight into new and upcoming standards
